There is always a supply and demand problem and we may restrict each customer to a max of two bottles at busy times

 

FILLING INFO (photo shows the 50mm UK Ext .. you may not need this ,, Please ask for more info)

FOR FILLING ONLY

 

Unstrap and take cylinder out of van,

Place on a flat solid surface .....

Ensure bottle tap is off, and then Connect Pump Gun,

locate the gun and twist to lock.. some guns also have a locking handle.

turn on bottle Tap

~ press and keep pressed the gun trigger

~ you may hear air coming out for a min or so .. once air is out

~ then press the Green pump button .. keeping both the gun trigger and the green

button pressed in

 

FIRST FILL INFO

On the First fill PLEASE ENSURE YOU DO NOT GO OVER THE FIRST FILL

QUANTITY RULE (FIRST FILL RULE)

5kg Cylinder = 6 Litres

7.5kg Cylinder = 10 Litres

10kg Cylinder = 15 Litres

 

Once you have reached the first fill amount stop the pump. , and release the trigger,

Then turn bottle tap off. Release pump gun .. You will feel / hear the gas release pressure ..

Most Guns have a Rubber blow back shield for safety.

THIS IS WHY WE DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU BUY A USED SAFEFILL >> AS YOU

WILL NOT KNOW IF THE FIRST FILL HAS BEEN FILLED CORRECTLY >>

if not it may

have damaged the special Cut off float (OPD) Overfill protection device

Further fills: Ideally its best to refill from EMPTY,

We and Safefill HQ do not recommend part filing ..

Its not mentioned on our main web site or the Safefill HQ website

Once you have completed the first fill

( 5kg = 6 Litres 7.5kg = 10 Litres 10kg = 15 Litres )

 

You can then fill to the Max 80% rule from empty . .

being ...

5kg Bottle = 8.5 Litres

7.5 Bottle = 14.5 Litres

10kg Bottle = 19.5 Litres

Keep watching the pump gauge .. DO NOT GO OVER

THE ABOVE LITRES

Cut off will kick in in 99.9% of the time . ..

But be mindful and watch the LITRES amount going in.

NEVER CONTINUE ONCE THE MAX.80% HAS BEEN

FILLED

PART FILLING (our personal thoughts)

If you really want to part fill . PLEASE BE MINDFUL of the amount in the cylinder

before starting the part fill .. The Cut-off will activate in 99.9% of the time .. but there

are a few factors that need to be considered in case it does not.

We recommend you use a Torch and shine into the bottle from the back .. but best  weigh

the bottle empty / full / and part full to eliminate over filling

• Never allow anyone else to fill your bottle. ( its your bottle and your responsibility)

• Never Fill a Safefill bottle on an angle

AND , never travel with a safefill bottle on its side /. ALWAYS TURN BOTTLE(s) off when traveling

LPG Pigtail Hose / Pol x W20 OPTIONS:

( THIS IS THE HOSE / PIGTAIL THAT GOES FROM THE BOTTLE TO THE FIXED REGULATOR) .. so goes to a fixed / bolted Reg in your Motorhome or Caravan

These were first made for farms Etc, and would help stop Rats etc biting through

Forecourt Blow back shield

You may need our 50mm ext.. depending on the shape

of the Blow~back at the garage you use

for the sake of £21 may be worth carrying one! It extends the bottle valve by 50mm so you can fit and lock the pump gun without the blow back shield getting

in the way,

Note: the 50mm ext is for filling only . to be removed

once bottle filled

CALOR v SAFEFILL >

If you are currently using a standard Calor (red) Propane Cylinder .. you can make a straight swap to Safefill .. without changing / altering anything .. but, we do strongly recommend buying

a handwheel hose / Pigtail, with the extra rubber seal on the wheel / bottle end ..

Reasons - the Safefill bottle is Plastic with a Fibraglass inner , so using a spanner to connect the pigtail could damage / break the bottle / valve, if you are a little heavy handed !

also the extra rubber seal tends to seal better

If you are currently using the Blue Calor butane cylinders , you will need to swap for a Propane Pigtail anyway.

Bottle lifespan = 10 years

safefill HQ were considering taking these bottles back after the ten year period and offering a re

certification testing service ...

however the cost out weighed buying a new bottle once postage both ways and time, and with

the new valve was taken into consideration.

So the best option is to purchase a new Safefill Cylinder .. After ten years you will have saved

Hundreds and hundreds of pounds ,.

Also ,

If you want to recycle your unwanted bottle Safefill HQ will take it back .. Please just ensure its

Empty and post back to them
